February 14th-20th - Traveling - USA - 0

Well, this was the most disappointing week of running I have had in a LONG time. Though it was disappointing not being able to get a run in at all, I did have a great time with some great friends.

Monday, February 14th: Valentines Day! Well, I spent most of the day studying for my graduate economics mid-term that I was going to miss due to travel. After the exam, I made my way down to Providence, RI to spend rest of the day with Ange, Sam, and Dom. We had a great time at the Vagina Monologs and then at McFadden's after. Man, you should have seen the artwork that was left on the table. You would of thought we were 5 year olds.

Tuesday, February 15th: Spent the day helping out at the New Hampshire DECA State Career Development Conference. It was great seeing all of the NH DECA advisors again as well as the hypnotist in the evening.

Wednesday, February 16th: My BIRTHDAY! Yes, it was my birthday and I spent 80% of it on a Bus, Plane, or Car. I made my way down to Texas for the Texas Association of Collegiate DECA's Career Development Conference (CDC). It was a long day but the food more than made up for it. Who knew you could have a burger on Texas Toast?! I had no idea! I do know that I will be doing that more often.

Thursday, February 17th: The Texas Collegiate DECA CDC opening session. Josh and I made our way into Dallas for the opening session of the conference. It was a great event that was put on by the Texas Collegiate DECA State Officer Team and included a fashion show and dinner. What a great time!

Friday, February 18th: Josh and I spent the day helping out the state officers with leadership workshops before heading over to the 6th Floor Museum. We were then given a marketing presentation and then were able to explore the museum. Follow the link to find out more about this extraordinary site!

Saturday, February 19th: Today was the day of competitions for the students at the conferences. After students competed, Josh and I hosted our own workshop that we modified from the one I developed. It was great to see something that I developed be put into practice. However, I would say that Josh did bring a great level of professionalism and energy to the workshop (too bad he doesn't read my blog to see my complements)!

Sunday, February 20th: Another day filled with Cars, Planes, and Busses. I spent the day getting back home and trying to catch up on my sleep. While I did have a great time in Texas (Thank You Texas Collegiate DECA), I did not get enough sleep! Once home, I immediately took a nap/coma. It was definitely needed!

It certainly was a busy week and I wish I did have time to get a run in. However, it looks like I will have plenty of time this week to get a good run in as I do not have to substitute teach at all this week due to the students being on vacation.

(I really did need that "cat" nap)
