January 9th - Training - Manchester, NH - 3.25

A day after running with honorary Greater Lowell Road World Runner (credit J. Bui) Tony Mangan, I was certainly was feeling the effects of pushing Nirvana for 5 miles. My arms were still a little sore and muscles in my legs that don't normally hurt were hurting today.

("Boggy" named "Nirvana", a runners best friend)

I decided last night, after talking with Deric, that I was not going to get up early an do the Freeze Your Buns Off 5K series but instead would catch up on the sleep that I have been missing over the past week between work and running.

Probably one of the best decisions I made in a while. I slept in till 11 AM (don't judge me), got up, showered, stretched, and got ready for some football. I found my spot on our couch and watched Kansas City get beat on by Baltimore. After the game, I figured I would get some work on the road in since the Chiefs thought it was their day off.

I put in a nice and easy 3.25 mile run so that I could feel more accomplished than KC on the day. I made sure I got back before the Green Bay and Philadelphia kick-off so that I wouldn't loose my spot on the couch and maybe if I don't shower, I will even get some extra space to lounge. We will see . . .
