January 28th - Training - Manchester, NH - 10

Finally a day where I can put in a good run. The weather was great, I was rested, and I had plenty of time! Does not get much better than that. Well, it could be better if I were somewhere warmer but I am not going to ask for too much. As right now in New England, a day where I can run outside in 30 degree weather (precipitation or not) is considered warm!

I left my house knowing I wanted to do at least 8 miles today but really was looking to do 10. I decided that I would start by working my way towards Heartache Hill and do most of that run until where I turn onto Oakland Ave. and head home. Instead, I figured that I could continue down Mammoth Road and turn down Cohas Ave, continue onto Island Pond Road, turn left onto East Industrial Drive, left onto Candia Road, right onto Highland Park Ave, and right into my driveway. This should give me exactly 10 miles.

The most impressive part of this run is that I figured that out all in my head AFTER I had left my house. You know you're a runner when . . . lol

I decided to stick to about a 9 min/mile pace for this run and was pretty consistent for the most part, the only exception was the 4th mile where I was running Heartache Hill. I finished this run in about 1 hour and 32 minutes and felt pretty good once I finished.

Tomorrow is Saturday and you know what that means. . .  FUDGE! Another week at the Fudgcicle 5K series. Looking forward to seeing everyone again as I was not around last week as I was in Florida for DECA. The good news is that tomorrow looks to be a nice day with above normal Fudgetemps.

(I know how he feels . . .)
