January 21st - Training - Orlando, FL - 5

Because I am in Orlando to do DECA related activities and work, finding time to get a good run is very difficult. It either needs to be early in the morning or late at night. Unfortunately, at night, I am simply too tired (mentally and physically) to get the miles in. Therefore, the morning it is!

I got up today at 5:50 AM so that I could get a run in starting at 6. I laced up the shoes, put on some extra deodorant (remember, its warmer in FL), and ran out the hotel room to lobby. I get downstairs and soon realize that it is raining out. No big deal, its just rain and it is Florida so it is about 60 degrees. I can still get out and get a good run in.

No sooner do I walk out the doors, start my watch, and start heading for the road, the skies open up and monsoon-like rains begin to start and I come to an instant stop. It is raining so hard, I cannot even see across the street. Errrrrr!

This irritates me as it has now become unsafe to run outside and I am forced inside to the hotel wussmill. I steam through a quick 5 miler just so I can get it out of the way. It would have been great if the mill wasn't in a room the size of a broom closet and the heat wasn't on (it probably wasn't but it felt like it was).

I put a quick 5 miles in at a 7:45 min/mile pace. I just want this run to end. I am in Florida and I am inside running on a treadmill. THIS RUN JUST SUCKS!

(Exactly how I feel)
