December 30th - Rest

After a hard run on Tuesday night and attempting a uphill point-to-point 5K on Wednesday, I knew I needed my legs to rest in order to survive the 12 miles of hills I had planned for tomorrow with Linda, Jess, and Dave T and the two races on tap for Saturday.

Today, I just took it easy and tried to set-up my racing calender for the spring. It is not easy knowing that there are so many great races to run in New England during the winter months leading into the spring. The one series that I did make sure to note was the hidden gem of the Merrimack Valley, the Fudgcicle 5K Series in Tewksbury, MA on Saturday mornings at 8 AM sharp. This is a fun, no thrills, run that goes off no matter what. No rain, sleet, snow, or occasional sun will keep us from running this 5K!

(Photo from last year's race: We had Dave Corbett with Steve Peterson following closely behind with Frank Georges on their tail and Jason Bui making a mad dash for the finish!)
